About
Sanctuary Therapy Services is the counselling practice of Ben Eames. Ben is a highly qualified counsellor with years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s toughest moments. He supports clients dealing with depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, relationship and marriage issues, addictions, and times of transition or uncertainty.
At the heart of Ben’s work is a deep belief in people’s ability to grow, heal, and thrive. His sessions are client-centred, collaborative, and grounded in optimism. That means he works closely with you from day one—focusing on your goals, your story, and what matters most to you.
Ben understands that while he brings proven, evidence-based strategies to the table, you bring the most important insights: your lived experience, values, and hopes. Together, you’ll explore challenges, build clarity, and move toward lasting change—with honesty, compassion, and a genuine sense of partnership.
Ben draws on practical and effective therapeutic approaches. He specialises in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples and families—a leading relationship therapy based on attachment theory that helps people shift unhelpful patterns and create deeper, lasting connections. With individuals, Ben works primarily with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—a powerful approach that supports people to live meaningfully and with resilience, through both the highs and lows of life.
Ben is also a trained facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich course, which provides tailored support for couples at all stages, whether they are preparing to get married or want to enrich their relationship.
If you’re ready to take the next step, Ben is here to walk alongside you—supporting you to understand yourself more fully and move forward with confidence.
